OPEN LETTER TO ALL MUSLIM GIRLS/WOMEN…
…AND THE LITTLE FEARLESS GIRL WHO CHALLENGES THE WALL STREET BULL…INSIDE OF US!!!
Dear girls,
of course I know that there are rich, modern and educated muslim girls who do not have big problems with the realities they are living in (families, jobs, societies in general), just like the rich, modern and educated christian or jewish girls/women. But I also know that most of the muslim girls/women are not living the life they deserve, and this just because they don’t have the same rights as muslim boys/men, due to poorness, ignorance and traditions that come from the past which don’t help.
So, study, girls!!! Study as much as you can! And if you can, go to college!
And read, read as much as you can! All the things you want, all the things you like, all the things you need!!!
Studying and reading are so important because ignorance is such a big problem. If you study, you can find a better job, so that your economic situation can improve.
My name is Roberta, I live in Italy, but I also know many other countries, christian and muslim, and I think that if you, muslim girls/women, and if us, christian girls/women, improve our realities, the world will be such a better place! Christians or muslims, we are all women, and we must work hard to grow in our families, in our jobs, in our societies. We must work hard also for our rights. We have to try to be like Iceland, in the North of Europe, where women have the same rights as men!
Dear girls, I feel like we are all part of a big family…I feel like we are all sisters…christian and muslim girls/women altogether.
The other day, the television was showing a muslim man who was saying that he didn’t want that the other men could have the possibility to see his wife, or mother, or sister, so these women had to cover themselves out of home…I think this is not normal, this is not the normality I want, this is not the normality you deserve…you deserve to do whatever you want, and if you don’t like to cover yourself, you have the right not to cover yourself…I don’t think that this man has the right to decide what his wife, his mother and his sister should do…his wife, his mother and his sister have the right to decide what they want to wear…this man doesn’t have the right to decide what the women of his family have to wear…remember, girls, that we are all born free, that all Gods in the sky (christian, muslim or jewish) want us free and made us free…none has the right to decide what we have to wear…don’t let the men of your families tell you what you should wear, or do, or think…try to be as much free as you can!!!
